The Season's Internship Question: A Recroid Feature

Recroid's 'Season's Internship Question' helps students plan internships by asking if they have one lined up, assisting with tracking and faculty guidance.

Recroid offers a unique feature called 'The Season's Internship Question'. This capability is designed to assist students two years from graduation in planning their internships effectively. Every March and October, students are prompted with a simple yet crucial question: 'Do you have an internship lined up?'

What It Does

When a student answers 'Yes', they add details of their internship along with the offer letter. If the answer is 'No', they provide a reason for not securing an internship yet. This systematic approach helps in tracking students' progress in securing internships.

Why It's Built This Way

The feature is built to ensure students are on track with their career planning. By asking this question, Recroid helps placement cells keep a pulse on students' internship statuses. Faculty mentors can then provide tailored advice through mid-term and end notes, guiding students towards successful internship completions.

How to Use It

To use this feature, students need to ensure their placement cell has activated the internship question. Once active, students can respond to the prompt in March and October. If they have secured an internship, they simply upload the offer letter. If not, they provide a reason, which helps faculty mentors offer specific guidance.

Successful internships, especially paid ones, can be marked as 'placed' according to the college's definition, aiding in accurate placement statistics. Additionally, upon completion, the internship certificate is sent to a verification queue, ensuring its authenticity.

This feature not only aids students in securing internships but also provides a structured framework for faculty to support and guide them effectively.
