Application Engineer

1. Test Planning & Execution Understand business and functional requirements. Create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts. Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing. Validate new features and enhancements. 2. Defect Management Identify, log, track, and verify defects. Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues. Perform retesting and regression testing after fixes. 3. Automation Testing Develop and maintain automated test scripts (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.). Execute automation suites and analyze results. Improve test coverage through automation. 4. Quality Assurance Activities Participate in requirement and design reviews. Ensure adherence to quality standards and testing processes. Identify risks and provide quality recommendations. 5. Documentation & Reporting Prepare test plans, test cases, and test reports. Document testing results and defect summaries. Provide regular status updates to stakeholders. 6. Collaboration Work with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Project Managers. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities. 7. Non-Functional Testing (Exposure Level) Perform basic API testing using Postman or similar tools. Support performance, security, and usability testing initiatives. Validate application compatibility across browsers and devices. 1.
