Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Accountant ( Financial Systems User Support) to join Financial Systems User Support -CAT IT Division.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore PSN Office, KA -India
What you will do
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant (Financial Systems User Support) with strong experience in accounting processes and financial Systems at Caterpillar to join our team.
Provide user support for legacy financial systems applications within the Bi-Sphere support model, helping users across the enterprise understand and complete key financial system processes.
Support a broad customer base across multiple business areas, including Capital, Inventory, Sales/Cost of Sales, and Payables processes within legacy financial systems.
Respond to user questions, troubleshoot issues, and assist with timely resolution of support requests to help ensure business continuity and financial reporting integrity.
Partner with process owners, governance leads, technical teams, and other user support resources to investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate appropriate solutions.
Learn and maintain working knowledge of legacy financial systems, related process flows, and critical monthly, quarterly, and annual activities.
Assist with month-end close and other time-sensitive financial processes by providing responsive support and escalating issues when needed.
Maintain and update support documentation, training materials, and process guidance so users and backup support resources have clear, current information.
Support training and knowledge sharing for end users and Bi-Sphere team members, including helping users understand standard processes, system expectations, and self-help resources.
Identify opportunities to improve support processes, reduce repeat issues, and strengthen the overall customer experience.
Prior experience using or supporting Caterpillar legacy financial systems is strongly preferred, as familiarity with the applications and business processes would be beneficial in serving the broad enterprise customer base.

What you will have
Proven experience in accounting processes and financial systems knowledge
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data, trends and patterns
Excellent customer service skills working in a global environment with multiple stakeholders to drive outcomes
Self-starter, works well independently and in a team, with excellent communication skills
Experience in process transitions and transformations in a virtual environment
CA, CPA, CMA or MBA Finance with 4-7 years of progressive experience
This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the Office.
