The Sponsor M&A Group is a key team within M&A at Goldman Sachs, focused on covering financial sponsor clients and their portfolio companies. We cover clients across all industries and provide M&A, financing and other corporate finance solutions utilizing dedicated resources The Sponsor M&A Group has built a leading Secondary Advisory business that provides strategic advice to sponsor clients on a range of general partner (GP) led secondary transactions, including Single and Multi-Asset Continuation Funds, Strip Sales, Tender Offers and other related structures. The Secondary Advisory business is fully integrated within M&A and Sponsor / Industry Coverage, enabling the team to provide clients with differentiated insight and service. The team has unique experience in structuring and executing GP-led transactions, having helped develop many of the technologies utilized in today’s market.
